    Facilitating Community-Based Resilience Planning in Aotearoa-New Zealand.

  • PROCAGICA

    PROCAGICA is the Central American Program for the Integral Management of Coffee Rust. Its objective is to increase the region's capacity to design and implement policies, programmes and measures for better adaptation, response capacity and resilience of the most vulnerable population, living in the coffee production areas of Central America and the Dominican Republic, and exposed to the adverse effects of climate change and variability. The countries involved are: Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Panama and Costa Rica.

    TomorrowNow is a collaborative project led by four universities in North Carolina focused on developing a serious game that can help a greater number, and a greater diversity, of people affect decisions that impact the places where they live and work. We are using real spatial data and developing interactive technologies that can help build common understanding of challenges in the Triangle, and figure out how to address them.

  • NAIAD – Nature Based Solutions and Insurance Value of Ecosystems, Europe

    Nature Based Solutions are designed to bring more natural features and processes to cities, landscapes and seascapes while supporting economic growth, create jobs and enhance well-being. Participatory modelling is extensively used for the development, co-design and use of physical, social, economic and financial models.

    The project aims at further development of the Design Evaluation Tool, a proof of concept of which was developed in 2017.

  • Strategic Basin Planning in Ganga River Basin, India

    The participatory development of a strategic basin plan for Ganga river basin in India. Participatory modelling is used to improve the health of the Ganga river while maintaining an acceptable level of economic productivity. An exemplary case of modelling with stakeholders in complex river basins.

  • Sustainable behaviors in agriculture: Modeling societal transitions from individual decision making

    This research aims to model sustainable behavior adoption in agriculture from both supply-demand side and how changes from one side affect the other.

  • Broadening the Social Components in the West Hawai’i Integrated Ecosystem Assessment

    This project seeks to improve the representation of socio-economic considerations in social-ecological models of marine ecosystems, using the West Hawai'i Integrated Ecosystem Assessment as a case study.

  • System Dynamics: Climate Adaptation in the Nigerian Agricultural Sector

    Supported by the USAID-Food Security Policy Innovation Lab, located at Michigan State University, this project seeks to identify drivers of agricultural productivity in Nigeria, and how the agricultural system may be impacted by climate change and other dynamic changes.

  • Collaborative Science

    This project is intended to help engage individuals in using technology to conduct locally based, but regionally connected natural resource stewardship projects.
