Beatrice Hedelin

My research centers on procedural aspects of sustainable development. The main research issue concerns the operationalization of sustainable development as a participatory and integrated planning process, that needs to be understood and managed from the perspective of complex governance systems. Issues such as knowledge integration, democracy, power, organizational learning and effectiveness are key. Participatory modeling has much to promise for supporting such planning processes.
